As fast as you can. The critical variable is how long the underlay stays saturated, not how much water arrived. Extraction and forced drying started early usually save the floor covering; delay is what turns a wet carpet into a replacement carpet.
Is it worth cleaning carpet that has been wet before?
Often, yes — but the underlay is the question, not the carpet face. If moisture was trapped underneath, cleaning the surface will not resolve the smell. We check the layers below before quoting so you are not paying for a clean that cannot work.
What is the best way to deal with what comes back from Bottle Lake?
